Training & Certification

 Mclean's Travel Agency for Students will coordinate with their overseas employer, to arrange inhouse America Red Cross Pre-Requisites classes in Jamaica. Each student will need to successfully complete the training in order to obtain their certification which they will receive before travelling to the USA. The purpose of this training is to provide our students with the capability to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies so one can provide care until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel takes over. 

 Students will be given the opportunity to test their knowledge in the classroom, where each student will complete a written assessment of all the skills that was completed in the practical aspect of the training. They will also be given a scenario, where each student will perform a CPR drill on a mannequin. Upon completion, each student will receive an American Redcross certification which will be valid for two years.
